Dehydration and Symptoms of Delayed-Onset Muscle Soreness in Normothermic Men

During normal-weather activity, dehydration resulted in overall higher perceived body pain of of 48% that persisted 96 hours after exercise. Isometric strength was consistently lower in the dehydrated state, remaining 7% reduced at 96 hours after exercise.
